Speaking to news agency ANI, N.K. Sinha, Principal of Podar International School, confirmed that the promising cricketer did not attend the examination.
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi is absent today. He did not arrive at the examination centre. As per CBSE regulations, we have marked him absent,” the principal stated.
He further explained that the school had no discretion in the matter and was required to follow CBSE policies strictly.
“Whenever a student does not appear for the exam, we are obligated to record them as absent. That is the rule,” Sinha added.
